All here at the Children’s Grief Centre  are delighted to have won an award in this year’s IPB Pride of Place Competition held at a gala ceremony held in Cork’s City Hall on Saturday last, the 17th November.  The centre took the IPB Pride of Place Award 2018 in the category of ‘Communities Reaching Out Initiative’.

Limerick’s two other nominees Limerick Civic Trust and Kilmeedy Community Development Group both finished in runners-up spot in their respective categories – Creative Place Initiative for Limerick Civic Trust, while Kilmeedy Community Development Group were in the 0-300 population category.

The IPB Pride of Place 2018 awards were presented in association with Co-operation Ireland in Cork at the weekend with 2018 marking the 16th anniversary of the competition.

We would like to sincerely thank Limerick City & County for nominating the Children’s Grief Centre to represent Limerick in the IPB Pride of Place Awards Competition 2018.  A special thank you also, to Brid Burke, Limerick City & County Council for supporting us through this process and always being available to take our calls.
