We were delighted and honoured to welcome a number of delegates from the Ireland Funds to the Children’s Grief Centre today. The Ireland Funds has, over the last 40 years, supported over 3,200 non-profit organisations across the island of Ireland working in the areas of Arts & Culture, Community Development, Education and Peace & Reconciliation.
As part of the Ireland Fund’s Whistle-Stop Tour of Limerick, a number of delegates and those from the supporter network visited the Children’s Grief Centre to hear about the work we are doing in supporting children and young people affected by loss through death, separation or divorce.
This visit forms part of the Ireland Funds’ itinerary in advance of its annual conference which is taking place in Adare this evening.
Many thanks to our guests for taking the time to meet our Director, Helen Culhane, Philip Mortell, Board of Management Chair and and of course our volunteers and support workers, Michele, Beryl, Theresa, Ita, Rebecca, Anne and Katrina our Fundraising Co-ordinator. We would also like to thank Ireland Funds’ Katie Norris and Caitriona Fottrell, Vice President and Director Ireland (Ireland Funds).
Pictured below are some of the visiting Ireland Fund delegates, John Fitzpatrick, Sinead Faughnan and Fiona Lowe with Helen Culhane, CGC Director, Beryl Carswell, Support Worker and other members of the CGC team.
