On Saturday July 5th The Children’s Grief Project hosted their Children’s Summer Party.

50 Children attended together with their parents.

A wonderful afternoon was enjoyed by all. We had a variety of events ranging from sports to loom bands, dressing up corner, activities with the young children and painting sessions with all those budding artists.

All the children and parents took part in the sports. We had our own world cup soccer game, we ran sack races for all ages! and the wellie throwing took everybody’s fancy. We were very lucky the weather obliged on the day which made the sports a fantastic success.

The loom bands were a big hit with all the children, the nail painting table was busy throughout the afternoon with some very fancy nail art indeed.

Any child who felt like painting a picture got an opportunity in the art session and those who just felt like chalking up a hopscotch on the ground got to do that also.

Mid afternoon we had a very tasty BBQ finished off with a treat from the Chocolate fountain.

We had a great day thanks to all the volunteers who made it possible.
